10 Reasons Your Baby Should Go From Milk to Meat

At We3Wolves, we believe in feeding little ones the way nature intended — and fat plays a vital role. Our own founder had a natural pregnancy & birth and practiced extended breastfeeding to ensure the best start to life.

1. Breastmilk is 50–60% fat.
It’s nature’s original superfood, packed with saturated fat, cholesterol, and essential fatty acids — perfect brain fuel.

2. Babies aren’t built for starch.
Until around age 2, they don’t produce much amylase (the enzyme for breaking down carbs). But fat? They digest it beautifully from birth.

3. The brain is built on fat.
60% of the human brain is fat. Nutrients like DHA — found in egg yolks, liver, and fatty fish — are critical in the first two years of life.

4. Cholesterol is not the enemy.
It builds hormones, nerve insulation, and brain synapses. Breastmilk is rich in it. Rice cereal has none.

5. Fat = vitamin delivery system.
Vitamins A, D, E & K are fat-soluble. Without healthy fats, babies can’t absorb them — even if you’re serving all the veggies.

6. Babies run on fat, not carbs.
Infants are naturally ketogenic. Fat and ketones fuel brain growth and reduce inflammation.

7. Omega-3s calm the immune system.
DHA & EPA from animal fats help lower risk of allergies, eczema, and immune dysregulation.

8. Low-fat diets = high risk.
Plant-based and low-fat feeding in infants is linked to slow growth, delayed milestones, and nutrient deficiencies (especially B12, zinc, and fat-soluble vitamins).

9. Fat heals the gut.
Saturated fats feed gut cells and produce butyrate — a key nutrient for sealing the gut lining and preventing sensitivities.

10. Fat signals safety.
Nourishing fats calm stress, stabilize blood sugar, and support deep, healing sleep. Babies feel safe when they’re well-fed.

🦴✨ From milk to meat — real nourishment supports real development.
Trust nature. Feed fat. Grow wild.
